Certification overview
Abstract
In this program, you'll learn the basics of high availability: what is it and what does it mean to a GitLab system administrator? How do you make decisions about your high availability infrastructure? And once you've made those decisions, how do you implement it in your chosen infrastructure provider?
Through a number of videos, training documents and assessments, this certification will walk you through all of the required information to obtain this certification. At the end of the training, you'll be presented with a final assessment.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, learners should be able to understand and implement GitLab in a highly available environment. This will include considerations for system architecture, design, and security. In addition, learners will become familiar with the various support and documentation resources available to assist with GitLab HA.
Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for any GitLab system administrator or other technical roles who want to understand the details of the GitLab system architecture. The course only applies to customers who have self-managed instances of GitLab as high availability on GitLab.com is handled by GitLab's dedicated production engineering staff.
Prerequisites
This course assumes intermediate technical knowledge of Linux operating systems and application deployments. In addition, it assumes you have an understanding of the technology you will be deploying GitLab into (public cloud, on-premises, Kuberenetes, etc.).
